Ok everyone the NOR (Notice of Race) and my start documents are now available at the club website (www.sailcda.com click on Sailing the Inland NW link). I really need people to start letting me know who will officially be attending. If people can donate funding, etc. to the event it would help with prizes, etc.
Also I am thinking maybe we could have a pot-luck at the end of the event.
This year I will be doing a starting sequence but will keep it very simple (see start doc.).
Again please let me know if you are attending ASAP.

Ok everyone that June 13th regatta and sailing festival is this coming weekend. The weather report indicates it will be 72 degrees with light winds, so perfect weather for sailing.
We will have a pot luck style meet at the event tent.
SAIL Marine will have of course Hobie's, Weta Tri., Open Bic's at the event.
From all indications we should have about 20 or so boats attending this year.
Hope to see you all at the event this June 13th...

I am glad to say another regatta went off well and all attending seemed to have a good time even though the winds were light. David Farmer with his crew sailed an excellent race winning the regatta overall. David won a new trapeze harness. Stacey Coles with his Daughter took first in the Hobie 16 fleet winning a nice tramp cooler bag and car windsheild sun shade. Mitch and his friend won the keelboat class aboard this Venture 23 keelboat. It was a beautiful and warm day with good food and drinks. I will be posting pictures of the event on our website, so stay tuned (visit our club website at www.sailcda.com and clicking on sailing club). Again next year I plan to expand on this event as a Sailing festival and non-motorized event for kayaks, other products, and other activities. It’s going to take a bit of work but I think it will bring more people out and increase interest in sailing. Miles Moore Commodore www.sailcda.com
