Hi,
I don’t know if this is the place to ask, but does anyone know if waterskiing is allowed in the Nine Mile Reservoir. I know currently it is closed to boaters because of the cable break, but is it normally open for this type of recreation?

ANSWER:
No this is a great place to ask this question and on the new forum for this site as well.
Kayaking and fishing are the main activities on this portion of the river, its very narrow so it’s hard to water ski on. In late summer when the flow of the river is very slow or non existent fishermen take their small fishing boats on it and occasionally you will see jet boats used for fishing. A few homes have docks on this section of the river but not that many. Lots of submerged logs and rocks are an issue as well.
