We don't race, but there are so many small bodies of water that are worth exploring slowly and quietly. We explored a "ditch" -- actually a borrow pit for the levee surrounding Freeport and Oyster Creek, Texas -- yesterday for 2 1/2 hours. We watched mullet jump and listened to the birds. Freeport is a major flyway for migratory species. I'd like to post photos of the modified tiller George built to allow more usable space, since there are two of us in the boat.

Great thing about the Snark is that it does not take a lot of water to sail on.
Yes post a picture or two as I think snark sailors would like to see it.
This is a new forum but soon many will benefit from knowing about your modified tiller set up.

Years ago, I had thoughts of cruising the NC outer banks in a Snark. However, after one weekend with friends, I came to my senses. However, many years later, I sailed my boat from Southport, NC to Bald Head Island, NC (which is the Southernmost tip of the outer banks) a distance of about 4 miles out across the Cape Fear River, dodging tankers and other craft. It was a fun trip that people on the island still can't believe I made.
