Hello I wanted to get this forum going because I am preparing to get the local accessible/disAbled sailing program running again. This July the new Paralyzed Vets of America sports video is coming out and the accessible program I started will be featured on this video, plus I was also just featured in the Hobie Hot Line related to Hobie 16 Trapseat sailing so I wanted to keep the ball rolling from all this media coverage. Also this Nov. on Lake Havasue Arizona is the Hobie 16 Trapseat nationals and Wave regionals. If you are a person with a disAbility or you are someone that does not have a classified disAbility but want to crew for a skipper with a disAbled then please let us know as I am currently planning the trip down to the regatta and need to confirm who is coming, etc. Also shortly I will have the new accessible/disAbled program website up and running in a few days. The program is called SAIL - Self Awareness In Leisure... As usually you can go to www.sailcda.com and the new accessible program info will be posted there. I want to remind people that the accessible program (SAIL - Self Awareness In Leisure) is not a club but a program(s) specifically designed to teach persons with disAbilities and youth @ risk to sail and gain as much independence is sailing as possible. Sailing the Inland NW is the club component of our efforts, SAIL Marine of course is focused on sales, and Its Tiller Time sailing school is for those with no or mild disAbilities wanting to learn to sail. Hope this clarifies things... Sincerely, Miles Moore, www.sailcda.com
