I just bought a 3 year old Sunflower and was wondering if there was any rigging you can add to make sailing a snark any better?

Follow up question. Where is the best location for a mainsheet cleat or cleats and what make and model? Thanks. Is any one out there or is everyone on their boat?

We set up sailor of Super and Sunflowers with a Single block w/Becket ($15.15) for the end of the lower boom (hooks on the ring or pad eye on the boom. Then put a block with bullet swivel ($22.40) on the rudder pad eye, and finally put a Single block ($12.75) toward the mast where the other pad eye is. This set up gives you a little better purchase power with your mainsheet, and also allows the sheet to roll smoothly through the pulleys instead of the rings that come on the boat. I am talking with a manufacture of blocks to build a small auto ratchet block so one does not have to always keep tension on the sheet. We already of have manufacture committed to building better rudders and daggerboards for the boat. The upgrads are not terribly expensive but adds a lot to the performance of the boat and easy of use. Hope this helps. We sell all these items so check it out at www.sailcda.com

I was given a Sunflower ... well most of a Sunflower. The mast and sail are at the bottom of a lake near Cape Cod. Any suggestions on where to get a replacement or even how to rig something so I can get the kids on the water this summer?
